How does Facebook Ads work?

  • When a user sees the ad, they can click on it, interact with it, share it or even like it. This is called an impression. Facebook charges the advertiser for each impression it generates, or for each click on the ad, depending on the billing method chosen by the advertiser.
  • When there are multiple advertisers targeting the same audience, Facebook holds an auction to determine which ad will be shown to the user. The auction is based on each advertiser’s budget and objective, and the amount they are willing to pay for each impression or click.

What is the difference between Facebook Ads and Google Ads?
